Today Guilin is a large city in South China, growing at the same rate as its many houses. But once its incredible granite peaks were the only elevations. Osmanthus was already being grown here 2,500 years ago. Its perfume still permeates the valley, as a bamboo raft glides along the Li. [travel notes]

We have chosen the most delicate and fragrant of the many varieties of this small, olive-like evergreen. Absolue dOsmanthe is our homage to Chinas millennial of culture. In spring and autumn, the valley of the River Li is tinged with white, red and orange flowers and dark red fruits similar to olives.

Dominated by a delicate hint of peach, the formula re-evokes the dream of the ancient Orient, reworking it with a modern twist. Around the Osmanthus flowers, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tolu Balsam and Labdanum build an enigma for the senses: is there something of the eternal in this fragrance?
